Freedom Project: Jail & Prison Prevention

Pop culture often glamorizes sex, drugs, and crime — but the reality is far from glamorous. Our Jail & Prison Prevention program is designed to give boys a clear and sobering perspective on the true cost of these choices.

Through guided tours of jails, juvenile halls, and detention centers, boys are given a visual, unforgettable understanding of how a single moment can change the course of a life. These experiences are paired with powerful conversations about discipline, decision-making, and how to channel disappointment in healthy ways.

This program also addresses systemic issues — including how the 13th Amendment has historically been used to disproportionately incarcerate Black men and boys — empowering participants to break generational cycles and reject destructive narratives.
